Topaz Observatory
Observatories were used in the game as waypoint towers, a way to orient the player and give them a lay of the land.
It was an idea that came from another designer and I early into the project and we carried that through to launch. Each area was intended to be a small platforming challenge, to make it feel as though the player is clamoring around ruins to get a better look at things. "Topaz Observatory" is the Observatory for the Yellow Sands, and I designed and built it to focus on swinging off hooks. |
Onyx Observatory
